Georgian wine and the qvevri

Georgian wine and the qvevri

The qvevri

A qvevri is a buried clay vessel used for winemaking. It gives its name to a traditional Georgian method. It invites us to see wine as a relationship between material, time and knowledge passed on.

Look, smell, taste

Start with colour and aromas before looking for technical words. Take a small sip and notice how the wine changes alongside food. Each wine has its own character; Georgian wines are far from all alike.

Wine at your table

Ask the team about the wines available and their prices. Tell us what you enjoy: freshness, fruit or texture. Sharing a table does not require alcohol; the pleasure of being together comes first.
